Bike Farm is an all volunteer-run collective dedicated to every aspect of bicycle education, from safe commuting to repair. Our mission is to provide a space where people can learn about the bicycle and build community around promoting sustainable transportation. We strive to demystify the bicycle in order to impact the city in a healthy and positive way.

On Sunday March 15 from 1PM-3PM  there will be a joint Bike Farm-Kayam workshop on basic bike mechanics at Beit Kayam (an Eco-Jewish house in N Portland). This will be a series of three sessions. The first session will focus on learning about the parts and systems of a bike, as well as how to diagnose mechanical problems.  We’ll end the session by fixing a flat.

This is a great introduction for those people who want to learn more about fixing their bike, but may be a little intimidated.  RSVPs to kayam.pdx@gmail.com are helpful but not necessary.  Please e-mail for directions to Kayam.  Bring your bike!
