Bike Farm is an all volunteer-run collective dedicated to every aspect of bicycle education, from safe commuting to repair. Our mission is to provide a space where people can learn about the bicycle and build community around promoting sustainable transportation. We strive to demystify the bicycle in order to impact the city in a healthy and positive way.

Last night, in place of our usual meeting, we had a special night where we worked on some organizational issues we’ve had at the shop. Namely, we build shelves, wheel hangers and move stuff around to make better use of space and more importantly, clear up the floor!

We had food provided by the lovely Amanda, refreshments, music and good spirits to get quite a lot done! It didn’t even seem like it took the four hours it did! Here are some highlights:

The Spread

Better use of the old fender box

New wheel hangers!

Tube shelf cleaned and organized!

dremeling to finish up the fixed shelves

Shelf fixed!

More to come!

So much done!

Thanks to all who came out and helped!

This winter we’ve had lots of drizzle and rain and freezing rain and dry cold clear nights; all of which result in the oil on your chain flaking off faster than you can pedal to the bike shop to oiling up your chain.

While, having a bottle of triflow of your own is handy, you can also come on by to Bike Farm and take care of that squeak quick! While you’re here, why not put your bike up on the stand and check your cables, tire pressure and anything else that’s been bothering you. We’re here to help you:

Monday 4pm – 7pm

Wednesday 4pm – 7pm

Friday 12pm – 4pm

Saturday 12pm – 4pm

Sunday 12pm – 4pm
