Attending: Frank, Simon & Calvin (new temporary volunteer)
None of the items Adam mentioned about were talked about since Simon and
I were the only regular volunteers there. Same for the CCC recycling
thing. See the previous post for agenda items if you’re not
familiar.
Simon and I did talk about a few things on the agenda though.
-Scary Room cleaning.
I will start clearing out the room on Sunday. All parts that are
decent will get sorted into the used bins. Frames not marked will be
given a week before they get recycled or hung up. So, if you have
anything in there, please label and date it during your next shift.
We also thought it was a good idea to put up a rack to hold tires and
frames. I won’t move anything in the labeled volunteer bins. However,
it’s obvious some of that stuff hasn’t been touched in months. Some
of the names are of people I have never seen/met or aren’t regular
volunteers. If you don’t need the parts in your bin, donating them
back to the shop would be great. There’s a ton of stuff in there.
-Bathroom sink leaking
Can someone who knows the building manager let them know? Or, let me
know who it is and I’ll contact them.
-Two kids’ department store bikes – will be recycled.
-Business cards – checked box of cards near computer. They are fine
with correct hours. no need to reprint.
-Shop Proposal to move & sort tires to make space for another work-stand
Simon will start sorting tires on Wed. I will also start sorting. We
can make space for tire racks under white boards, extending wheel rack
on blue wall, pegboard can be added to left of new parts shelf by
computer, hooks can be added near back wall by bathroom. I don’t mind
buying the pegboard. Simon is going to get some wire to string and
hang up the clothing and bags to get them off the floor so people can
see them.
-Truing stands need calibrated. Simon said Jeremy knows how to do
this if he’s willing.
Spending Meeting items update
I can only speak for myself. I have brought everything in on my list
except a broom and 2×8,9,15mm wrenches. I tried three hardware stores
and cannot find individual metric wrenches except for ~$10/pop at
places like Sears or Lowes. It’s cheaper just to buy a set of Park
wrenches from SBS at wholesale. I also have yet to find a display
case on Craigslist for $100. I’m still looking though.
